When there has been an opportunity, solar generation has been incorporated into new Trust buildings. The three business units, Iomairt an Obain, located near Tarbert have solar panels. Each unit has 4kW of photo-voltaic panels on their south-facing roofs. The panels generate power for use by the tenants. They also provide NHTC with a small income through the Feed-in-Tariff scheme.
